As someone who's had more suicidal ideation in the last 9 months than at any time since I was a teen over 2.5 decades ago, due to a stack of socioeconomic hardship and a life-threatening surgical emergency adding fuel to the fire, I completely support this message.
I am grateful that I kept seeing the light. I had to proactively reach out for support during the darkest of times, and I'm grateful there was someone on the other side. Not many—but even one was enough to reflect light and truth back to me. I am still underground and under-resourced, but holding onto my dear, precious life successfully so far.
And I am absolutely available to anyone who needs emotional support at this time. I believe part of my life's work is traversing dark places so I can help shine light for others. If you're in one of those places right now, my DMs are open.

It takes real courage to share that, and I'm glad you're still here—your openness is a lifeline for others.
I've been there. the first tunnel was the hardest for me. once I saw the light and got to the other side, the other times sucked less. 🫂
