My dad killed himself not too long ago, and it was partly because of money issues (that I didn't know about). It's impossible to put into words what kind of devastation a suicide causes. Impossible.

I have two suicides (in my family, and vendor family, one a child). It is impossible to process; it leaves a mark on every person who is near and dear. I always always always wish I had reached out more deeply, in both cases, even if the outcome were not different, I would know I tried.

Lost a brother in law to suicide. He was an engineer. Graduated from Vanderbilt. Make a 35 on ACT. We were close. Bought my first house from him way under what it was worth. Never saw it coming and miss him to this day.
