great way to backdoor your network. they run the control plane and they can add nodes to your network. I'm happy with just plain wireguard.

Self host the control plane, easy peasy
They have apps on every device so it makes sharing your private media server very easy. However yeah trusted third parties and all that, don’t put your bitcoins on your tailnet.
