Met a Vietnam veteran while I was walking through D.C. today. He saw my shirt and said “Isn’t Bitcoin fake money!” Had a short conversation with him and gave him my information. Just received the below message from him. 🧡

How did you frame it? My attempts at orange-pilling seem to just confuse more.
I start by asking people: As technology advances and productivity improves, should life get cheaper or more expensive? Everyone agrees, price should go down. Yet we’re raised in a system that conditions us to believe prices should rise. Few people ever ask why.
Great work! Each one teach one really does work.

Bitcoins are still confusing to me. By the way anyone know how to set up a wallet on Nostr? I'm confused about how to do it.

A lot of people new to Bitcoin and other decentralized technologies would benefit from this knowledge! I struggle to value the pros over the cons, myself. Do you have a blog post or Note you can share that will help folks like us?
Yeah, I usually frame it in the context of discussing with the person what money is, and I never get a person that says, “It’s the thing that represents and stores the value of the energy a person or entity expends to do something productive, that can’t be devalued by another entity.” People don’t get that. I usually discuss the deflationary effect of technology as well. It’s hard to make people understand without them doing some work on their own, and a lot of people just won’t do that.
