Met a Vietnam veteran while I was walking through D.C. today.
He saw my shirt and said “Isn’t Bitcoin fake money!”
Had a short conversation with him and gave him my information.
Just received the below message from him. 🧡
I start by asking people: As technology advances and productivity improves, should life get cheaper or more expensive?
Everyone agrees, price should go down. Yet we’re raised in a system that conditions us to believe prices should rise. Few people ever ask why.

A lot of people new to Bitcoin and other decentralized technologies would benefit from this knowledge! I struggle to value the pros over the cons, myself.
Do you have a blog post or Note you can share that will help folks like us?
Yeah, I usually frame it in the context of discussing with the person what money is, and I never get a person that says, “It’s the thing that represents and stores the value of the energy a person or entity expends to do something productive, that can’t be devalued by another entity.” People don’t get that. I usually discuss the deflationary effect of technology as well. It’s hard to make people understand without them doing some work on their own, and a lot of people just won’t do that.
