genuinely curious, why does it matter if he muted you? Does it affect your ability to post? If it does not affect your notes then isn't that his choice so he cannot see your post? Or am I missing something? ☺️
No I reported it. Since I do not accept racism in any way. And escalate it in the way it is best for the nostr community in my opinion.

No. I report it. I am not worried if someone takes my report serious or not. But of what importance should it be to rather not report. I think reporting bad behaviour like discrimination and racism is nothing else then civil courage.

Free speech is not promoting racism and discrimination. Free speech is no freepass to be an unstoppable asshole.

Ah no. I didlnot report the user. I did report a post of him. This is two different things in my opinion.
I can respect a Person and argue against an argument of a person perfectly fine. Or report inacceptable behaviour as racism.

I got you. I agree with the block or mute if I do not want to see the content. But to kick out from the platform is what I do not agree. I believe you meant the former. It makes sense. It is individual choice which content they want to see or not. 💯
I try to be as objective on this as possible. I beleave in a society, where unacceptable behaviour is not ignored, but to be found a way to treat it. I would not want to comment on a racist post, since it would rather amlify it instead of smaller its vierwebase.
Someone in the train saiing something similar, I wouldmalso hold accountable for. Since I think to say nothing on bullying is accepting it. Accepting it is letting people fall, which get bullied. With this I do not agree. I try to defend minorities, which get bullied. Here I decided reporting it is the best way.
I am open to hear feedback how you react on racist expressions.

what led you to think that I may defend discrimator? Is it because I do not agree with the banning? I am curios where your thoughts at?
I refer to defending a discriminatory post to be public available and not to be deleted. I am for going against herassment and discrimination actively. When relay hosts warn users to behave in a respectful way, I see as good conditioning. I respect people, which argue against this.
But I think good and bad behaviour needs feedback. And when I want to report bad behaviour I want to go the least noisy way to not further fule the spread of the message I qualify as a thread to the community.
You have every right to report someone and you can exercise it. It is there for a reason. 💯
Thanks. And for everyone. When I report it, I do it in the assumption to commit a false report maby. I do not try to never commit a fault. But I beleave that there are many people, which can still think for theimselves. Therefore they are able to critique my critique. And I would not want at any point to have someone execute a ban based on my report without doublechecking and thinking about the report critically.
