Fake Christianity usually leads with "God loves you for who you are, so don't be a jerk to anyone for who they decide to be." God loves Mankind, but hates the Sin that Mankind has rebelled to. And yet, even as not one Man is worthy of God's redemption, He still chose to draw a people into Christ for salvation and sanctification. Those people hate what God hates. #ToChristAlone image

Is God capable of sin? I ask because I'm trying to read the bible for the first time and there are so many things in Genesis that seem pretty bad.
If God created everything, then why does he get all upset about a small subsection of it? If he didn't create it, then who did? If everything is part of Gods plan, then we live in a predetermined universe and have no responsibility for anything, so he is just punishing us for his own amusement - hardly the actions of a good god...
God loves His creatures but God is severe in His justice, but also full of grace which is why He redeems an elect people through Christ even when none deserve it. The better question is: does Man love God or does Man love himself? Everybody hates God. Only those who God draws into Christ begins to find God desirable.
If God loves His Creatures and His redemption of His creatures is only contingent on His election/disspensation of saving grace to them, why would we not see universal salvation? If He requires no synergy between His will and with the will of the regenerated, how could He not save all those who He loves? Conversely, how could He be severe in justice against creatures who, being totally depraved from their conception, had no meaningful participation in their hatred towards Him? This is the central reason I am not an occasionalist/calvinist. My firm belief in God’s love AND His just righteousness preclude it. People have a meaningful choice in responding to God’s gracious call to repentance. And He will rightly judge based on how people respond to His call in their hearts. May God have mercy on us, the sinners that we are.

Got it. Wiping all land animals out in a flood because humans are wicked is fine, but questioning this is not.

I struggle with this too. This factored in to me not going to church after moving out of my parents house
