One caveat here, it looks like this miner took the cheap route with regards to any sound dampening. Found some social media posts from residents complaining about the noise. It's on these miners to be good stewards of the local communities they are operating in. Had they done that, it may have gone differently.

I agree with you that miners need to be good stewards of the communities they operate. A silver lining of this case is now we have anecdotal evidence to show anti-miner activist groups (which are usually organized on a hyper local level) the immediate impacts to their wallets when a large energy load system comes off grid
