I had/have WoS. I just opened it up and it said something like 'region not supported'. I don't remember the specifics but that's almost certainly why I stopped using it. coinos.io I've never heard of. I could look into it but frankly I don't want to disrupt anything. I don't know enough to be confident I'm not going to screw something up and I'm happy to wait for the semi-permanent set up to get re-established. I barely got it set up before and that might be generous to even say that. I think I have more to learn about running nodes and all the dependencies and what all the parts and pieces even do before I'd feel comfortable hot swapping interim solutions in play in the event that the node is down. Eventually I will probably get more than one node up and running. A little redundancy doesn't hurt. I have a generator. Until recently, 2 vehicles. Why not. Could be good for my development somehow.
You're probably in the US & have an old version. The new version for US residents is non custodial (I've not used it). Coinos is one I've been using to orange pill people on V4V. I think setup is as quick as putting in a username & a new password. Very quick & easy. It doesn't need them to download an app & you immediately get a personalised address. It's custodial but we're not talking large sums (yet). You'd just change that LN address in your profile & save it. You can change it back again in a week when your copy of the Timechain is fully synced.
