Asking a girl for phone number is obsolete. You need to ask her for her public key. That's how she knows you are serious. It can be signal qr code with verification, simplex invite code, but if you are more traditional, a PGP key is enough. If she does not know what you are talking about or offers telegram or Instagram, keep looking for a better girl.

Whenever I'm F2F with anyone I'm close & friendly with, I bring this up! Different vocabulary & approach for different folks, but the "let's do a quick face to face establishment of trust" is actually not **that** hard of a sell in 2025. We are making progress! 🔑💪
