The TV as a monitor is the only way to use it. If it can’t do that alone, then don’t buy it. A TV should never know your WiFi password and should be blind to the internet.

Just buy a monitor instead. TV's are an antiquity.
I don’t mean tv as a monitor for a computer. I mean TV in “monitor” mode because it’s not internet connected. Just a tv. No using whatever brain someone gave it. Just shows what you pipe to it.
And I'm saying that you might as well just buy a monitor (like one for a computer) instead of a TV.
Oh. Gotcha. 72” monitor = $$$$ 😵
