Nostr was where the signal used to be. Offlate it's just been sloppy noise. I'm not leaving, i have no place to go, just thinking of solutions to get that back again.

Do you feel it was worth your time logging on to nostr? I used to. Recently it hasn't been. I'm sure there is signal somewhere but it's just been drowned out by all the bots? And i don't even mean the LLMs.
People building freedom, for themselves more than anything, It was electric. Now it's just a facade to show off their AI more or less.
This is always going to be a challenge on a permissionless protocol with messy consensus (at best). People will post slop and build slop apps and that’s ok. Personalized WoT is coming very soon, and that will allow people to find the signal in the noise (if they want to)
I was honestly surprised by the lack of FOSS speech on Nostr. Always figured the decentralized/web3 movement went hand in hand. The challenge I believe is going to be finding hardware devs, few and far apart; then chip suppliers who can make it happen. Willing to fund meaningful projects if you're able to organize something. The sooner flagship devices are open sourced, the better in my opinion.
