I don't know if on-chain zaps are the way, but I know that Nostr was on fire today with conversations on both sides. I enjoyed the engagement. Keep building... controversial things.

Onchain zaps are bad idea. All txn are deterministic with no privacy, making a huge target of yourself and dust attack candidate!

*laughs in Monero* But love watching the btc on or off chain zap conversation, important points all around 🙏 🍿😎
See, Nostr isn’t dying after all. There’s just a whole lot of cooks in the kitchen and eventually there’s gonna be an argument over who’s got the best recipe for something or other. Then everybody joins in and it turns into a cafeteria fight.
Silent payment only solves address reuse plus one needs a separate server to scan receive/spent key Silent payment does not solve deterministic links onchain, user will still combine those utxos that is sent to a silent payment address, only stonewall brakes those links! And no one knows what stonewall is.
Yeah, what’s cool about it, is that every npub has its own on-chain bitcoin wallet. This is really cool for use cases other than zaps.
Nostr key management can be upgraded with so many innovations Bitcoin already uses, 2 of 3 key auth and hardware management. The @Bitkey experience comes to mind, one key has limited permissions while 2 of 3 can change those permissions or authorize important stuff.

Yes I like both btc and xmr. Is that a problem?
