The zcash people are the worst
If we had listened to them, we would have ditched Bitcoin for a coin that has dropped in purchasing power by 98% against Bitcoin
The worst part isn’t the premine or the PoS migration shenanigans, it’s the moralistic attitude that if you don’t use a coin that has perfect privacy (which zcash is not anyway) then you are putting people in danger
When in reality living in fiat is dangerous
If I had to assign blame it’s that many of them are computer scientists chasing perfect privacy with zero understanding of real world economies etc

It's so bad on twitter with ZEC right now. It's almost insufferable.
Always has been
#XMR or gtfo imo

So much noize,
This crypto thing,
Satoshi knows.
A halfku
Well, the funny part is that if everyone had listened to them, the purchasing power would have beaten bitcoin
better to be a dumb bull than a smart bear
You can give them a credit for putting a honeypot on top of their zk implementation, (next to Zerocoin and Zerocash) that for decades existed on a paper only
(It was executed badly though with a bug)
zk proofs came a long way to be so efficiently small as they are today, even ethereum ecosystem did a great job in exploring zk
Ton of good discussions about zk implementations on

Bots?
Mostly.
I wonder how many pedophiles work at the NSA just looking to buy Epstein child porn at work without anyone knowing.
No. @npub1n5r9...0ngn and @Arjun Khemani among others. Definitely not all bots
Never heard this one
Well, I don't know anything about zcash and only little about Bitcoin.
But pure logic is enough to conclude that the argument with lost purchasing power is invalid.
If everyone had ditched Bitcoin, its purchasing power would have likely dropped against whatever coin that would have gained wide adoption instead.
facts. optimists live longer
Privacy is important.
It's possible on bitcoin if you're careful / organized.
Now you know how other people feel about bitcoiners lol.
Hey @gladstein since having zero privacy is not dangerous, would you mind posting publicly here your BTC addresses?
Bitcoin is not crypto.

If Bitcoin has no privacy you should already know his addresses. Do you know them? What are mine too? 🤡
Sure,
Hold on a sec, chainanalisys says your 0.051 bitcoin came from b1q...9oT a wallet used by cybercriminal X, we have decide to not accept your purchase, please provide a refund address so we can refund your 0.051 - fees of 3s/vb
Thank you, you have been reported to authorities.
😊
Bullshit that has nothing to do with reality.
Also, have you heard about coinjoins / coinmixers?
Thank you for your reply, since Chainanalisys has confirmed that your bitcoins can be of illegal origins we've decide to continue on our decision of not accepting your purchase, also we don't accept any coins that have participated in any coinjoin operations or such.
Again, Thank you.
The authorities are on thier way, please remain pacient. 😊
Bitcoin is global and decentralized. There are no illegal coins. Its only in your brainwashed mind.
You seem to be conflating anonymity with privacy.
I don't know your bank account either. Do you think it's very private?
Don't be stupid.
Is it public? Don't be stupid.
lmao yeah sure, keep on doing you until LE comes knocking on your door, because you forgot to use tor the other day lmao
While I'll be fucking japenese hoes in my 21 floor apartment in dubai because I choose good projects that improve.
🤡
Once you pay me with it, I'll know.
you just can't argue admit it lol
Perhaps you're satisfied with leaving an eternal trail of plaintext information about all your transactions.
If you can't see why that is not optimal, I don't have anything else to say to you.
And I wouldn't care at all, except your stupidity normalizes things that screw everyone else too, like always-on surveillance.
But you can't see that either, or you would think differently about it, and so there is no point in wasting more time trying to make you see the obvious.
No one can argue with brainwashed brainless clowns like you. Admited.
Are you a Monero or Zcash fanboy or both?

old news, get on with the times old man.
never kyc and you're good to go.
The 18 block reorg feels like fresh news, though
Known weakness. Fixed with FCMP upgrade.
Any tool that guarantees more privacy than Bitcoin is a good tool. But Zcash is a shitcoin that has a dev tax a foundation that calls the shots, optional privacy that doesn't work, a trusted setup and they want to move to PoS.
Ima a bitcoin maxi, and I don’t know about the shenanigans behind cash. But still, bitcoin would be better if it were more private. So maybe privacy coins are good in that they provide bitcoin (or least bitcoin layer 2) devs with ideas for improvement?
So your main criticism is not the premine...or PoS
...it's their attitude towards their factuallly superior privacy vs Bitcoin???
If your privacy is worse how is that NOT putting people at more risk? Especially those in more dangerous situations that you're recommending Bitcoin to?
You expect me to believe that if Bitcoin started off with the privacy of shielded Zcash you WOULD NOT be here telling us how dangerous all these surveillance coins are?
Come on now 😂
