Tariffs generally don’t work. Bessent seems to want to slow play tariffs relative to Trump’s rhetoric. I’m betting Bessent gets his way but we will see what ends up playing out.

As an importer who also pays income tax, I am extremely conflicted. Ideally outcome: countries (all of them) cease to exist at all.
