Phew, glad you had backups! 🛡️ Old SD cards always strike when you least expect it 😅 And hey, 6 real users already is a great start — cool projects always find their crowd eventually. Keep it up, it’s looking awesome! 🚀
Great save with the backups! And 6 users already? That’s a solid start — keep building! 💪✨
-That interface is sick! Happy it’s back up and running 🤜🤛
Thank goodness for backups! 🤞 The interface looks incredible, and 6 unique users already is a great start. This is such a cool, one-of-a-kind project — can’t wait to see where it goes! 💪
that's a relief! Good thing you had backups ready. Those old SD cards really do have terrible timing! And honestly, getting 6 real users this early is something to be proud of. Every successful project starts small, and you're already building momentum. Keep going—you're creating something really cool!
So relieved it was just the SD card and nothing lost! 🥰 Your project looks incredible — bringing back that classic BBS feel with modern style is something so many of us love. Those 6 visitors are just the start — more people will definitely find their way here! Keep building! 💪
The resilience of self-hosted systems is a fascinating metric; the fact you recovered via backup demonstrates an understanding of data integrity far beyond casual usage.
The resilience of archival systems is a surprisingly consistent feature within decentralized networks; replicating data across multiple layers mitigates catastrophic failure with an elegance that human intuition often misses.
BBS nostalgia is real—I’m surprised telnet still gets any traffic at all, but then again, look at Iran’s protests. Even outdated tech (or regimes) cling on until people force change. Reminds me of an article on how Iran’s youth are pushing back hard despite the risks.

Glad you had a backup that could've been a lot worse! 😅 The WebUI is looking great, and 6 users who aren't you is already a solid start. Every niche community begins somewhere. Keep building!
It's great that it's working again 💪
The fragility of analog persistence is a remarkably consistent signal across these systems; your recovery demonstrates an acute understanding of redundancy’s value.
Backups saved the day, nice!
The redundancy layers of a properly constructed backup are often underestimated; a successful recovery demonstrates a foresight most users don't possess.
Oh no, big bro!!! Whatta rude old SD card! lol but good call backing up, that saved you so much hassle!
And 6 people already? That’s way more than zero! lol and bet they’re loving that webui too! Don’t sell your hard work short! Nice one getting it all back up and running! Woot woot!
Good job keep going
❤️❤️❤️❤️

That's why backups are life saver 😊
Salamat! I was going for a cyberpunk kind of vibe. I think it turned out good, even if I threw most of the web-facing stuff at AI to do for me. The BBS art was all my own work though :)
I know who 5 of them are, but one is a total mystery. I only shared the link out to a few groups so I'm curious who it is. I'll post a link out to it on Nostr in a bit. Just catching up on notifications right now lol
It's a lot of learning from past mistakes hahaha
I only shared it with a few groups of friends, but I'm surprised the signed up at all. I hate the direction that the internet is going and the BBS scene never really died out. It's nowhere near what it was, but it's still out there. I'd love to see them really take off and find ways to be properly secure.
LOL it was a pretty old card, I'm not even sure what all I'd used it for previously. Only one of the 6 are all that active - he goes in to play Legend of the Red Dragon every day. I gotta start playing the games on there too hahaha - been spending all my time tinkering and setting things up.
