Uptober is and was never about fiat denomination. Uptober is about Bitcoin stack go up, conviction go up, freedom go up, Bitcoin stoke go up. When viewed from this perspective, so bullish for the end of the year when some Normies can feel what I’m feeling now.

5 years since my grandfather passed, sharing his exit point with both Sean Connery and Bitcoin white paper day, going out with company and style consistent with the rest of his life. Reading the note sent to my mother from his palates teacher (he was 99 when he died), gives me a serious target to aim for, even when you’re old, frail and in his case, blind with a bit of dementia, still in good humour, building is “muscular strength”.

Gm nostriches, 17 years ago today Satoshi Nakamoto published the Bitcoin white paper to the cypherpunk mailing list. He/they (plural not gender none specific) had likely been working on this idea for years, building his own “proof of work chain” so that when anyone read the work, they weren’t able to just disregard it due to some fundamental flaw or oversight. He/they, at great personal risk then began running the software protocol, allowing others to do the same, and interacting with others in a clear, courteous manner for the next few years. I’d hazard a guess that most nostriches here have a good deal more personal freedom, intellectual confidence and maybe even sunned balls than they would have without both the tireless work and later sacrifice of Satoshi made. So not in some type of religious way, but in a broader, raising up our heroes kind of way, take a moment out of today, work out the next piece of work you could be delivering to the world, give yourself a target to get it done by and then get at it. Not in the name of personal glory (although I’m a massive egoist and all about the selfish action), but to know deep within yourself that you’ve achieved something and benefited those important to you (family, friends, and I consider you all part of both groups). So, happy white paper day, don’t simply post a picture of the paper (although cheers @FLASH for the reminder this morning), take some time, be reflective on how far you have come and how much farther you can go, if you do the work. It isn’t only about lambos and second girlfriends any more…….. the prize is getting much greater everyday, but there will only be a Utopia if we build it. If any of this goes ahead it is going to get wild, people will be either taking on loans to pay these taxes or ditching their expensive houses for ones that fall below the threshold (meaning their prices will rise). Real real issues with these holier than thoughtfully journalists gaslighting the ill informed, and the political class threatening everyone else. Scary times in the Uk, I for one, not too worried, will ditch my house no problems, if only I was able to keep it and rent it out, but Labour have already taken out that option.

Who benefits from them, who are the biggest share holders? So, utxo management is one (oh Bitcoin magazine, you’re not doing well in my eyes this week), the other, the founder’s family. While I appreciate they have placed buys, I would think most of the 9% holdings were printed, with any share price increase resulting for the retail pump that took place earlier in the year. I didn’t buy at a peak, I just put a little in to support the process of a British mstr, but 77% down is offensive. Who benefits? Those closest to the money printer, and for completeness, they are also the ones with any access to those sweet sweet coins they purchased with YOUR money. But at least I can bank the tax loss…… I’m much more interested in this companies that have a value adding business and simply choose to save in bitcoin…… stop re purposing the world best asset for your fiat mind games.
