There was something very significant happened in February 2023 with #bitcoin network but there are lot of people from bitcoiners community who have been normalizing this event. Since February 2023, #bitcoin has been going through (I would say at least an social attack) and it seems like #bitcoiners are not resisting enough against this attack since there is a narrative being pushed to a lot of #bitcoiners that "THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN REALLY DO TO STOP THIS ATTACK". I still don't get why people keep saying that Satoshi was flawed (especially when it comes to FILTERING THE SPAM) If a person like myself (who has 80IQ) can read between the lines then not sure why #Bitcoin    dev community keeps making this SPAM a subjective topic. People don't like to hear this but "The more you understand bitcoin, whether that is from a philosophical nature of sound money, or a technical perspective of how the network operates, the more you think of spam as an attack vector on #bitcoin " Let me try to explain to you by simple example: - You get all kinds of emails in your inbox and when you know that it's spam, you report (aka filter) it as spam. Next time you don't let that email enter into your inbox next time and as you get more spam emails, you keep filtering them (EVEN IF YOU KNOW THAT FILTERING THESE SPAM EMAILS WILL NOT SOLVE THIS ISSUE FROM THE ROOT BUT YOU DON'T MIND PLAYING CAT AND MOUSE GAME WITH SPAMMERS) Email is based on open source protocol (aka SMTP) and anyone is free to send any information by following the rules of this protocol but since they followed all the rules of the protocol, it doesn't make that information viable. You can't just let that information (aka spam) enter your inbox (because that information follows all rules of SMTP protocol) Now replace email with your node and replace information (following all rules of SMTP protocol) with arb data (i.e.inscriptions, BRC-20 tokens stamps) and think through it. If you don't filter these spams then you will incentivize them to do more and more in future. If you do then either they will come up with different ways (maybe a more efficient way which could help with the bloating blockspace situation in the case of the Bitcoin network) or they might completely stop it since people are way more aware than before and their scam won't work anymore. Filters will not completely stop arb data but will definitely disincentivize this behavior. Not sure why people don't get it. Please read the difference between policy change vs consensus change. People just directly jump to the consensus change without even looking into policy change. Apply filtering is policy change not consensus change. "Filtering" and "Censoring" are whole different thing in this case. Don't mix them up. Always try to run #Bitcoin Knots or anti-filter version of #bitcoin core node. "YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING" IS A PSYOP. #bitcoin

I would suggest coordinating with people like @Luke Dashjr , @Bitcoin Mechanic, @jack if you have any questions about code itself. @npub126nt...e9ll took this request very seriously and they already started working on it. I believe that this step could be very important for overall health of the #bitcoin network. Since a lot of your customers are self-sovereign bitcoiners, you may want to think about them and make this as easy and accessible as possible. @ODELL, @BTC Sessions, @Matthew Kratter, @preston, @Jeff Booth @Saifedean Ammous, @nat brunell, @MartyBent Would anyone of you mind doing one short video on YouTube and Nostr about the importance of running this version instead of original bitcoin core? I think your videos will definitely clear lot of confusion around this and it will also help spreading the awareness. I am aware that Knots is not magic solution but I think it's one step in the right direction. Let's just try our best to make sure node runners don't struggle to run their own nodes since validating spam is quiet resource intensive. Currently only 0.37% of total nodes is running Bitcoin Knots nodes and I think with the help of some of the people I tagged here, we can take this percentage way higher.

Unfortunately your primary schools don't teach you and some people have been so busy with their fiat debt slavery that even if you show them this chart and explain them in simple language like @Lyn Alden and Lawrence Lepard did, they would still think that you are crazy and they are wise to follow the current system. Whenever I say "Let the free market decide", most of the people look at me and behave like I am preaching the ideas of a utopian world and you also get the sense that they have been PROGRAMMED really well by STATE that they strongly BELIEVE that "Free market never exists because governments are very powerful".
