Masterminding out loud…
My intention in 2026 is establishing the Trust of Source Code. It will most likely take the form of a private express trust.
It is the foundation of a private, equity-based organizational architecture I am exploring — merging equity jurisprudence, cypherpunk ethos, and open-source protocols — oriented toward preserving continuity of freedom and sovereign life across time.
At the core of this work is the design of a non-capturable container: a private, equity-based structure capable of protecting freedom-preserving work, people, and resources across generations, without collapsing into platforms, products, or public control.
The vision and structure are still clarifying. This work requires time and study — particularly in equity and trust law — and careful synthesis of how those traditions may merge with freedom tech in a way that preserves integrity rather than reproducing legacy institutional patterns.
Earlier iterations included a public-facing nonprofit auxiliary under the name Freedom Tech Foundation. Grant-making has been part of this inquiry from the beginning, especially in response to the call for more organizations capable of responsibly supporting open-source, privacy-preserving, and sovereignty-aligned builders. What I am exploring now is how such resourcing might emerge from within a private, equity-based trust architecture, rather than through conventional foundation models that have accumulated cultural and jurisdictional friction in the Bitcoin and cypherpunk space.
This is not about replicating existing models, but about determining what forms of lawful, continuity-safe, non-extractive resourcing become possible when grant-making is treated as a fiduciary act of stewardship rather than a public institution.
I am exploring organizational forms capable of supporting FOSS builders, privacy advocates, benefactors, cypherpunks, and freedom-aligned work, while remaining insulated from capture, compliance drift, and public-facing distortion.
I’m still synthesizing the most coherent form. That includes determining whether this work remains fully private at the trust level, and what auxiliary structures — ecclesiastical, educational, or private-membership-based — may serve as appropriate bridges between domains. One working thread has been an educational arm, tentatively called Freedom Tech Protocol, oriented toward translating freedom tech beyond software alone, including the human nervous system, embodiment, and the somatic conditions required for sovereign building.
I’m also exploring how private membership structures might interface with cryptographic identity and web-of-trust models, in order to preserve anonymity, consent, and jurisdictional integrity.
This work requires sustained study, collaboration across disciplines, and resourcing. Support in the form of funding, technical assistance, and aligned collaborators would support the continuation of this work and allow focused progression.
