@BTC HEL in Helsinki – the first major Bitcoin conference in the Nordics – and terahash was right in the middle of it! 🚀 Great atmosphere, strong talks, and good conversations. We from terahash were there as partners and, of course, with the team live on site. Our highlights ✨ ▹ @Rachel opened the conference with a keynote, participated in panels, moderated the Mining Focus Session of the European Bitcoin Energy Association e. V., and organized the Les Femmes Orange Side Event. 🎤 ▹ Fabian Weber brought exciting perspectives to several panels on the topic of mining. ⚡️⛏️ ▹ @Tanja inspired with a workshop on Nostr and contributed her expertise in the panel on decentralized communication. 🔗 Besides the program, there was plenty of room for exchange, new ideas, and great community moments. ⚡️💜

The breaks and the unique atmosphere provided the perfect opportunity for networking and valuable conversations. Matthias from terahash answers your questions ⁉️ At the WER group, we’ve collaborated to install a Bitcoin heater – a device that uses the waste heat generated from Bitcoin mining to heat rooms. Sounds crazy, but it’s technically sensible: The Heatcore is a so-called ASIC miner with a heat exchanger that doesn’t just let its computing power (hashrate) go to waste, but purposefully uses it for heat generation. ➡️ This makes mining a bit more efficient – especially in places where heating is needed anyway. ➡️ Instead of “just burning” electricity, it’s used twice: for Bitcoin and for room heating 🔥 #bitcoin #bitcoinheizung #bitcoinmining #bitcoingermany
