Morning. Thought for the day: nostr (this social version) goes mainstream, and proves it works at scale - where else can it become the norm as way of a decentralised architecture? Adding relays and their stability definitely needs to improve. I havnt got a clue how difficult a fix it is, but when your relays disappear for whatever reason (probably my fault tbh, but again no clue) then you have to remeber them, look them up/type them in, it's a bit of a pain in the arse. I love tinkering, playing with settings, going under the hood and I love that nostr builds and inovates so quickly, but the average newb at some point will get sick and walk away. Rather than this post being a negative winge, can I ask what are the major relay UX bottlenecks? The young'n is at secondary school and what a croc of shit it is. He's a creative soul that loves maths and art equally, and loves to show his flare for the subjects. But at school if he doesn't adhere to there A4 1990s-esq print outs, their dogmatic lessons or their rigid methods, then apparently his take on things is no good, not time-worthy or even entertaining. Let kids be creative, let them stray from the prescribed, let them argue and discuss. Don't just parrot fashion feed them some material. Creativity, making mistakes, real word problems, fun and progress is what's needed. Don't even get me started on their strictness for no reason, reward system, incessant testing or their fingerprinting "cash" system. Parents evening is gonna be fun.

I am so so close to a super fresh start in life. How it will look and what it will involve I havnt a clue, but the freshness is so nice. I am not a nieve "grass is always greener" kinda guy, but I am basking in my freedom for this short period of time while a dream up my options. I love it here on Nostr, but real life interactions, face to face still win for me. That's not to be dismissive of the brilliant community, technology and possibilities here, just that immediate feedback (for me at least) is so rewarding. It's clearly not an on-off scenario. Nostr expands my brain more than a lot of real life conversations, real life throws so many more spanners in the works, nostr (social media in general) can often lose something in 'translation' but obviously allows us to communicate across the world. I'm not the sort to prescribe, so no 2hrs on 2hrs off malarkey, I'm gonna try and use nostr more than I currently am, but not to build a following, more to put my thoughts, opinions and personality out there as in real life. Online and real life are always blending and blurring and from my little corner of my world, I'm here for it. That's my pennies worth. What's yours?
