What would people say is the best way for people who are getting off zero to keep small amounts of #bitcoin ?
Options I currently know of that are out there:
- keeping it on an exchange, of which there are multiple options.
A) Strike- being a bitcoin only exchange which brings custodial lightning wallet features to the masses
B)
@River- which offers interest payments out in bitcoin
C)Swan- still bitcoin only, offers a lot of good educational content
D)Any other bitcoin only exchange I haven’t mentioned
E) Any crypto platform exchange, I.e. Coinbase, Kraken, Binance, Binance US, etc.
- 2nd layer solutions:
A) Custodial #Lightning: #walletofsatoshi, #pheonix, The now late #mutinywallet, any others I’m not mentioning
B)Self Custodial Lightning wallets that from my understanding run a localized node on your phone or on a device you own like
@ZEUS, Breez, any others?
C) #ecash ECash Wallets such as #cashuu,
@Minibits, #e-nuts,
And from that resources on ecash mints that are trustable
D)Other wallets that have interoperability with lightning in some form like #muun, #bluewallet,
@Alby and any others I don’t know about.
E) Wallets that use lightning and #sidechains or #drivechains (the difference of I don’t know) like #liquid , such as #aquawallet and #blockstream ‘s #greenwallet.
-3 Self custody a small UTXO and hope for things like #covenants like #ctv or check template verify?
-4 get a group hardware wallet or seed phrase and #bip85 password your own small amount
-5 Buy an ETF portion or #mstr
Any other options I’m not mentioning?
