Mom of 3 on a meat based healing journey. Sharing faith, ADHD mom life, and simple food that actually works for our family. Podcast, Bible, and real talk as I figure this out in real time.
GM My morning routine consists of my kids. I’m in that stage of life right now where I have little ones; most people I know are in a different stage, dealing with teenagers and kids going to college. That could have been me; my husband and I have been together long enough, but we started having our family a little later in life. Sometimes, honestly, I look at my kids and I can’t believe they are mine. I’m a mom of boys… this is my life, the chaos mixed with the love and these morning routines that I’m grateful for. I get to work from home, and my husband is flexible with owning his own business. I can’t see myself having to go into a corporate office and being chained down to a desk for 9 hours a day to rush home to my kids to make dinner and go to bed. And sure, working from home has its challenges—yesterday, for example, the baby was crying, the kids weren’t listening and doing their homework, and I was trying to finish some work. But I’d rather have the chaos and my morning routine that sometimes feels like that movie Groundhog Day lol than have to go into an office and not be able to do all the things I’m able to do now. So today, let’s embrace the chaos, cherish our routines, and be grateful for another day of life. Life is short; work on the things you love and find joy in the little moments. In today’s episode, we dive into the struggle of sticking to a routine and how to get back on track. I share personal insights into how I’ve fallen off my morning routine and the tips I’m using to rebuild it—starting with morning rituals, prioritizing tasks, and taking breaks. Life happens, and sometimes we all get off track, but it’s never too late to start again! Check out our je latest podcast here: #podcast #nostr #carnivore #dailyroutine
GM Today, I’ve been all over the place! I had to get some paperwork done for my husband’s business, then I started checking emails and replying to them. I really need to start working on social media content for my clients, but then I looked at the time and thought, “Maybe I should just record my podcast real quick and edit it later.” In between all this, I opened my Amazon app to order office supplies—probably about three times since yesterday—and I keep getting distracted by other things. So here’s the question: could this be ADHD, or am I just a mom of three with 100 tabs open in my brain? Remember how I mentioned I started working on creating today’s podcast? Well, I haven’t done it yet because I just remembered that I forgot to post my coffee pic from this morning with my husband. So, cheers to Tuesday and to anyone else struggling to focus on one thing at a time! ☕️✨ #asknostor #askadoctor #askdoctors #nostr #gm #plebchain #carnivore #coffee image
GM Today I’m thankful to wake up, drink coffee, and get to work on my podcast! What are you thankful for today? #grateful #carnivore #coffee #askcanivores #podcast #gm #nostr image
Here we go, dinner time. Chicken with some kind of green sauce, mashed potatoes, steamed veggies, a cup of pineapples, hot tea, what looks like a creamy soup, and a slice of carrot cake. At this point, I don’t know why I’m still surprised. Another meal loaded with carbs and sugar—mashed potatoes, pineapple, and cake all adding up. And that sauce and soup? Probably full of seed oils and additives. The chicken is probably the best thing on the plate, but even then, who knows what it’s been cooked in. The good news? My mom is finally getting released! Just glad she can get out of here and eat some real food. #nostr #gm #questionscience #fiatfood #proofofsteak View quoted note → image
My mom is still waiting for her MRI—over 24 hours behind schedule because one of the machines broke. This is truly unacceptable, especially when she’s waiting to rule out a mini-stroke. If someone could be dealing with a mini-stroke, delaying this test is dangerous. The longer she waits, the worse it could get, and the food they’re serving her is definitely not healthy for anyone. Here’s the photo my mom sent me of her lunch. Looks like chicken, rice with carrots, mango, and onion salsa, apple sauce, a salad, chamomile tea, Kraft dressing (likely Golden Italian), an Udi’s chocolate chip cookie, and butternut squash soup. Here’s the issue: This meal is mostly carbs, sugars, and possibly unhealthy fats. The rice, fruit salsa, and apple sauce are carb-heavy, and the apple sauce is probably packed with added sugar. The salad, while it seems like a healthy choice, can be hard to digest for some people and doesn’t provide much in terms of protein. That Kraft dressing is full of seed oils and preservatives. The Udi’s cookie is processed sugar and flour, and the butternut squash soup likely has unhealthy fats or hidden sugars. Why is this the food hospitals are supplying? Wouldn’t they want to provide meals that actually support recovery, especially when dealing with potential heart issues or high blood pressure? Why are we being served food that’s high in sugars, carbs, and unhealthy fats? Could it be that these food companies have ties with hospitals? It’s time to question why this is considered “normal” hospital food when it’s far from healthy. A better option? How about a protein-packed meal that actually supports healing—like grilled steak, grilled chicken, fish, with a healthy fat source such as avocado, or a hearty broth-based soup with real, whole ingredients. Definitely healthier than a cookie. What do you think? #nostr #gm #questionscience #fiatfood #proofofsteak View quoted note → image
GM! I wanted to follow up with my post yesterday about what they gave my mom for breakfast in the hospital. Let’s talk about today’s meal—what’s on the plate, the sugar, the lack of protein, and why this isn’t good for someone who’s in the hospital for high blood pressure, possibly related to heart or stroke issues. Today’s breakfast: reduced-fat milk, orange juice, strawberries, a cheese blitz, and scrambled eggs. When you break it down, this meal is loaded with 30-37g of sugar, most of it coming from the juice, cheese blitz, and milk, and there’s barely any protein to support recovery, aside from the eggs. How is this considered healthy for someone dealing with high blood pressure or potential heart issues? Or for anyone really? It’s mind-boggling. Doctors are quick to prescribe medication, but they don’t ask about nutrition. And honestly, most nutritionists and dietitians aren’t given the full picture of what truly makes us healthy either. I can speak from personal experience. I’ve dealt with depression, anxiety, fatigue, brain fog, thyroid issues, and more. After cutting out added sugars, processed foods, and seed oils, I’ve felt 10x better. That’s not just a coincidence—it’s proof that food is medicine. We’ve been taught that foods like this are “normal,” but it’s time to question everything. The system has made us believe this is okay, but it’s not. Every body is different, and just because something works for one person doesn’t mean it’s good for everyone. OPEN your eyes and start asking the tough questions. Your health and how you feel matter more than what we’ve been told. #nostr #gm #questionscience #fiatfood #proofofsteak View quoted note → @Ken Berry, MD image
GM Explain to me how our healthcare system isn’t broken. So many people are quick to judge others for trying to eat healthier. My mom recently had to go to the hospital for high blood pressure. They ran tests—EKG, CT scan, and an MRI. You have to rule out a heart attack, mini-stroke, etc. Now, let’s talk about the food system. This photo shows the breakfast they gave her this morning: reduced-fat milk, jelly (which I’m sure is loaded with sugar), Cheerios 🤦‍♀️, some type of muffin… The only healthy thing on her plate is the eggs. If someone is in the hospital for a possible heart issue or stroke, explain to me how this meal is healthy?? Yet, when people defend our food system and ignore the fact that the very ingredients in our food could be making us sick, it truly shocks me. I get it—we have to unlearn everything they’ve taught us since we were kids. Do you remember those Cheerios commercials claiming they’re “heart-healthy”? And yet, so many still believe it. Open your eyes. Take off the blinders. Just consider, for a moment, that the food industry has been lying to us. It’s time to start questioning what we’ve been told. Your health depends on it. #nostr #food #fiatfood #gm #carnivore #healthfood #nutritionheals image
Have you ever felt discouraged by the scale when trying to lose weight? I really wanted to like @CashApp but they denied my clients payment to me stating “it was for my protection” what?! I can’t get paid for my protection??? Customer service experience: 1 out of 10 - here is how it went: Me: My client is trying to pay me and you denied it. Them: Keeping your Cash App secure is our main priority. We review payment data to help keep Cash App safe. If anything appears out of the ordinary, the payment is canceled. Me: So getting paid from my client is out of the ordinary ?! Them: Repeats what’s on their computer 🙄 Well you can’t say I didn’t try! #nostr #cashapp #proofofsteak image
#2025Mantra I sometimes sit back and wonder where I’d be if certain things in my life had played out differently. I think about the people I’ve met along the way—some were just fillers, part of the journey to lead me to the ones I’m surrounded by now. I think about the losses, the pain, and the challenges that shaped me. Those moments forced me to grow, to open my eyes, and to see how life has a way of closing one door while leaving a window open—if we’re willing to look for it. I look at my kids, and all I want is to protect them from the things I went through. But I know some things are just a part of life, and I can’t shield them from it all. What I can do is remind them that I’m always here for them. I can teach them to do what makes them happy, to block out the noise and insecurities that try to hold them back, to never stop learning, even when it’s hard, and to keep going no matter what. And honestly? I have to remind myself of the same things. I have to tell myself that I’m tough and capable of creating the life I want. I grew up doubting myself, believing I wasn’t good enough or smart enough. Those thoughts still creep in sometimes, and it’s hard to silence something you’ve told yourself for so many years. But this year, I’m reminding myself that I can do hard things. Life might be tough, but so am I. And so are you. Let’s step into 2025 with less judgment, more conversations, and a commitment to learning and growing. This is my year—I can feel it. Can you? #nostr #tough #inspired #gm #proofofsteak #mantra #carnivore #2025goals image
