Build your own airgapped, stateless bitcoin signing device for less than most hardware wallets. ๐ค Not set up for zaps, if you'd like to donate to our contributors please go to https://donate.seedsigner.com
Research and responsible disclosures are important and appreciated, but nothing fundamentally novel here -- as with previously demonstrated exfiltration attacks, this requires running a modified version of our software with malicious code inserted. Trade-offs, all the way down. View quoted note โ

Back from Nashville, and after a little reflection, I need to reiterate a message I frequently put out there: kill your heroes.
Most of the people talking about the moon, laser eyes, power law, get on zero, digital energy, strategic national reserve, etc. etc., or who are telling you to buy this device or use that service are **buying and selling your attention to make themselves richer** -- they generally do not have your best interests at heart.
Think for yourself and don't fall for marketing. Educate yourself about bitcoin, discuss it with people you respect, think critically about the risks, and then, if it makes sense to you, make a sensible investment in it with reasonable expectations, while keeping your larger financial situation and your personal priorities in perspective.
I am a believer in bitcoin in spite of, not because of, all of the wild assertions, influencers and aggressive social marketing out there, and it has taken me 11 years to get to where I am.
Be careful our there anon, don't buy the hype.
A key part of this is the FOSS movement -- please DIRECTLY support open source projects and devs.
If billionaires, VCs, and for-profit companies provide the majority of the funding, you're just going to get the tools that billionaires, VCs and for-profit companies want you to have.
And if you donate via donation bundling orgs, you are going to get the tools that the bundlers want you to have.
I will say it one more time: DIRECTLY support the tools that are important to you.

Some notes on this:
Every morning I get up and work for bitcoin, but this is a a bit more literal... ๐ As many of you know I build and sell signers as a way to get them into more people's hands, and to support my individual work on our project. The revenue from the signers and other things I sell in my online shop (https://btc-hardware-solutions.square.site; Entropia, Go Kits, SeedKeepers, etc.) is how I'm able to cover expenses related to the project, and to travel to conferences and meetups where I can share information on SeedSigner and what I've learned during my personal bitcoin journey relative to cold storage, given my unique background. Here and there I'm also able to help cover some of our family's expenses.
When we recently transitioned to a new approach to user donations at
I intentionally withdrew myself as a donation recipient. I wanted our most active technical contributors to be the ones benefitting from donations, directly receiving periodic digital monetary expressions of gratitude over time as the project grows and reaches more and more bitcoiners. (As a side note -- if you're a user or otherwise receiving value from our project, I'd encourage you to send some sats their way via the above URL.)
As for myself, I've always offered to sell signers p2p for bitcoin via DMs / email, but for a long time I've been wanting to level up in that regard. Over the last weeks I've finally gotten a proper LN node set up, where I also run @npub155m2...dcvg and a modest (for now) web presence. I need to express a lot of gratitude to @Printer, @Dimi and @Start9 for their help as I've worked to become more of a 1st class bitcoin citizen.
With planned trips to Nashville, Atlanta, and Amsterdam to represent the project on the horizon, I'm looking to stack some sats that will help me continue to spread the SeedSigner gospel of a more trustless, more self-reliant approach to saving with bitcoin. So I've set up this small online store where I'll be selling some of the items from my Square shop for sats. I'm starting with milled aluminum signers (kudos to @fk2bit for his continued amazing work on these enclosures) and I'm offering a small discount and free protective case for paying with bitcoin.
If you've been looking for the right opportunity to upgrade your SeedSigner experience, or if you've been waiting for a decent deal on one, please consider supporting my work in this way -- the URL is below.
Otherwise, a big thank you all for the kindness and support that so many bitcoiners have shown me over the last couple of years -- I hope to get to shake your hand at an event soon. ๐งก๐

Happy Fourth! #meatstr

Had a call about our upcoming release earlier today with @Nick Klockenga @npub1tv8g...7wn2 and @npub177zf...dp8e -- at virtually every interaction with these guys I am reminded how blessed I am to have found such great collaborators. ๐งก
