Hey #nostr bitcoiners, Simona here. The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Nairobi 🇰🇪 does wonderful work to help orphaned animals and reintegrate them into the wildlife in Kenya’s Parks. I have personally adopted some of them and also gifted my husband (Andi) with an adoption of a baby elephant named "Kipekee". The latest arrival in need of help is a young girl named “Alia”. If anyone wants to help just get in touch with them and adopt one. Last time I checked, they DID NOT accept #bitcoin yet, but if you are serious in donating some, just drop me a private message and I will try contact them to teach them how to implement bitcoin and lightning payments via @Tando.me app so that you can donate them directly once they are set to accept sats. I asked If I could send him #bitcoin. He looked at me perplexed but then I asked “What about M-Pesa?” He smiled and said “yes yes, asante sana” and gave me his mobile number. I then opened up my Tando Kenya app which generated a bitcoin lightning invoice to my Phoenix Wallet. And in seconds my sats were automatically converted by #Tando into Kenyan Shillings and credited to the Masai M-Pesa mobile wallet. Amazing, #Kenya is truly THE N. 1 bitcoin country.
