Since I've started participating in the
@Rigly #blockparty, I can't help but notice that a huge portion of the blocks are mined by a very small group of large mining companies. This hasn't sat well with me for the decentralized currency of the people. #monero seems to have a model that works way better in regards to giving power to the users.
There are legends of mining capabilities in the original Bitcoin Core software. I remember seeing it when I first delved into bitcoin many years ago. Now, it takes a small portion to even compete. What happened? What went wrong? Most importantly, how can it be fixed? Bitcoin wasn't made to be controlled by the same corporations it was made to spit in the face of.
Also, this is not a Core v. Knots question.
