The goal of BTC Balkans was to unite the bitcoiners in the region and we did the first step - people from Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Slovenia and Turkey showed up. We are actively looking for bitcoiners from Romania, Greece, Albania, Bosnia. So yes, bitcoin is indeed transforming the Balkan region - a place with its own history of division by the powers that be.
