Just listened to that pod with @Constant where he tries to explain Nostr to two normies
It's very hard to explain Nostr, because 99% of users want to download the app and just use it
1% want to know about relays and servers
Personally I think that's the way Nostr should be advertised to normies, just let them have their npub and nsec, that is no different from username password
Primal offers a plug and go with regards to relays running in the background
Normies dgaf and they don't understand, so just let them browse and find their feet
One mistake nostriches make when explaining the protocol, is trying to explain what a full stack developer does to Karen who uses Facebook while her washing is in
It totally goes over their head 🤯
KISS
I mean look at pfp and banner images in @primal you can just upload an image from your gallery and it automatically processes
Don't start lecturing normies about the costs of content hosting and you should host your own server, the average joe has trouble finding their qr scanner on their phone
So where the lines blur and the confusion begins, I'll give you an example:
*Uploading images to Nostr*
The big legacy platforms remove exif data
So what's exif data?
And you've lost the normie already
You see? It's partly because we all talk in an echo chamber here and when you go out the bubble and speak to others, they haven't got the base knowledge
Essentially it's very hard to explain Nostr and very easy to see why normies aren't using it

Liquidity Matching vs. House Bank:
For the bitbetbot to be sustainable, it usually needs to match an "Up" bet with someone else's "Down" bet.
If everyone bets "Up" and Bitcoin goes up, can the bot cannot pay everyone?
House Edge: Most legitimate gambling services do not pay exactly $2\times$ (100% profit). They usually pay $1.9\times$ or $1.95\times$. The difference is the "house edge" or "vig," which ensures the house makes money over time.
If this bot offers a true 2x payout with no fees, it is statistically likely to go bankrupt eventually unless it is subsidized?
I love bitbetbot and was wondering if the source code is foss?
The most painful truth in finance right now has nothing to do with charts and everything to do with psychology.
15 years ago, Bitcoin was trading for pennies. It was accessible to anyone with a dollar and an internet connection.
At that time, most people were distracted, stuck in the rat race, working jobs they hated, stressing over things that didn't matter.
Today, we are staring down the barrel of a $100K Bitcoin.
Here is the fascinating part: The people who missed out are the loudest ones yelling that it’s a "scam."
This is classic cognitive dissonance.
If they admit Bitcoin is real, they have to admit they made a massive mistake.
They have to admit they ignored the greatest asymmetric bet in history.
They have to admit they denied their children abundant opportunities because they were too closed minded to look.
So, to protect their ego, they attack it. They hate it because they ignored the countless articles on the media over the years.
Don't be the person who works a pointless job for 40 years just to prove a point.
Put your ego aside and study #Bitcoin
