4 years ago today, I became a father for the first time. It overwhelms me with joy to celebrate my oldest son’s birthday.
I wasn’t immune to the pressure to forgo having kids due to the expense. How grateful I am that my wife and I leaned into life despite the odds and had 3 amazing kids.
My hope is that more youth look at this objectively. Maybe half of my graduating class is married and I would guess a third of those have kids (very few have more than 1).
Imagine missing the greatest gift of life due to prioritizing what another man can print. It is hard to view this perspective before having your own children, but once you pass that threshold it’s undeniable. My kids have brought infinitely more value to my life than anything of the world, especially fiat. We need more people to recognize this. Have kids, choose the harder path and reap true joy.
