Problem is that it became culturally unacceptable to do that. So having an app alert to those nearby that you do want to get in touch is an interesting solution.

The beta is ready, test it:
It's ready!
Bitalk: connect and talk face-to-face with interesting people around you who share the same interests as you, using cutting-edge Bluetooth mesh networking!
Bitalk is in beta stage, I need to fine-tune the UI&UX a bit, but it should work pretty well already. Test it and give back feedback!

Nice!
Heres my findings from 1 minute of ussge.
Most topics are tech focused, needs an input field that allpws typing with an auto complete with a large list of topics. If you then have them categorised you can offer the more generic ones to. For example not just music but every genre. Would make for a more personalized onboard. I can do it after the fact and manually, but not during onboarding and onboarding is important.
It says describe yourself as in apperance but I think thats the wrong approach. You should describe your personality, that way you can first chat and get to know each other a little before sharing over chat where you are and who you are.
Once onboarded I was stuck on pause.
As to why chat first? You don't want to put people in danger from people abusing the app. It helps verify if you wish that stranger to approach which will make it feel safer. Those who do want cold approaches can put it in the same description. So functionality is right, but the prefill box is wrong if you decide adding p2p chat is a good idea.
