Relays probably wonβt keep your notes forever. The point is that everyone has the power to download their content and send it to a new relay. Better backup/archival solutions will emerge.
Very true. If you want to make sure your older notes don't disappear you need to take it into your own hands.
Solutions like Nostr relay tray for desktop and citrine for Android are good local backup options. Haven relay is a good option if you have access to PC hardware or a VPS, and feel comfortable with configuring and hosting your own solution. If that is beyond your capabilities relay.tools has a good hosted option to run personal relays.
I'm sure I'm the future this will only get easier.

What do you think about the fact that we currently canβt really delete posts? As I understand it the only thing users can do is ask relays to delete it but there is a lot of trust involved.
It gives people a good reason to be honest and sincere with their interactions and what they post, knowing that they are cryptographically signed proof of what they said and did. I think it's a feature, not a bug.

Tbh I can actually see people zapping a car crash, let's say you had some sort of Nightcrawler-type account, or people restraining police chase helicopter footage. I think people would zap that, perhaps not us nor people who are currently here. But can definitely see it happening.
