Sure! In a 1984 doublespeak kinda way 🙃 Just trust that how we name them is what they actually do and all is fine!
It's actually not. Nobody I know has ever ran for office on the idea that the monetary system itself was completely broken and that there's no meaningful resistance to overspending and debasing the money supply to the suffering of all regular people who hold dollars. The closest I can recall was Ron Paul but he just wanted to audit the Fed and talked about the Gold standard. The entire system is meaningless and has been for generations. Voting is great and all if all voters have equal access to quality money but they don't. Sure I have the same vote as a billionaire, but if he can spend $10,000,000 he gets out of thin air through connected low interest loans and uses that money to support his favorite candidate are our votes actually equal when I don't have easy access to debt-backed money like he does? Money is it's own type of vote in the economy, and with bad money too many people have too many unearned economic votes and there's no way to solve it from the inside once it begins. The only way out is building parallel systems while the original crumbles and shrinks into irrelevance.
