Every time I’m about to level up I feel this heavy resistance.
A voice in my head telling me I’m not ready. Sudden fatigue. Self doubt. A strong desire to quit.
In psychology this is called the Upper Limit Problem. It’s when your own mind tries to drag you back down the moment you start rising.
Your nervous system doesn’t care if you’re thriving it wants predictability.
So the moment you try to step into something better, it panics and causes you to self sabotage.
Most people feel it and turn around. They call it burnout, or doubt, or say it “just wasn’t meant to be.”
But that panic isn’t a stop sign. It’s a threshold.
It’s the final test before change.
If you can recognize it for what it is and move through it you’ll find yourself in a new place.
Everything you want is on the other side of fear.
Keep going.
Push through the resistance.

burn the ships
Every time I’m about to level up, I remember I haven’t gotten high in a while.
Nigga what ships??

Sink the ships
Growth mindset vs fixed mindset
This spoke to me in so many levels. You articulated that thought very well. Thank you!
We don’t fail because we’re weak. We self-sabotage because we haven’t yet felt safe enough to expand.
The resistance tries to protect us from the emotional risk of being seen, failing, or finally feeling something you’ve buried.
I feel seen - great post 👍🏽
Exactly what I needed to hear
I can't tell you how many times in life that I fell prey to this exact circumstance.
Both Bitcoin, and Nostr has changed this fear that has afflicted me in the past.
I still have doubts. Thinking I can't do it.
Fuck that! I'm going to do it. Keep pushing forward! 💪🫂
Don't let your fears stop you! Keep pushing forward 💪

running through walls
That (panic as a threshold line)? That’s gold…
Really like the message behind this. How many times I’ve hit this wall and been afraid of the next step!! But, when I choose to do it afraid, I’m usually rewarded.

But not before you land on that beach.
Perturbation
Feel this when I’ve hit a weight loss plateau. This fuck machine really wants to remain at exactly 200 lbs
This right here cripple 90% of people.
"Everything you want is on the other side of fear."
90% or 99% They're card one percenters for a reason 👀
I’ve been feeling this burnout at work recently and have been pondering quitting and taking time off to explore what I could do next (maybe in Bitcoin). My job is fairly high stress and has a lot of schedule pressure, but I get to help design/build a new rocket at this start up, which is pretty cool. Do you think in this case I should push through for the possible growth on the other side, or maybe the stress/burn out from work is just a sign I should take a break? Appreciate your voice on here, HODL! 🙏
The resistance isn’t the enemy, it’s the doorway.
I’ve felt it so many times right before something big shifted.
Thank you for putting this into words.
Life is resistance training.
No growth without the weight.
This is the hard part about decisions like this. Only you can make it. My advice wouldn’t help and it can be hard to know the difference between when the burnout is telling you to leave and when it’s telling you to gut it out. I think personally I would gut it out and push past it then make the decision from a place of strength rather than weakness. I always want to feel like I’m running towards something instead of running away from something. Just my two sats.
