Don't fall for the misinfo Ben. This concerns a *proposal* for a law, that only addresses CASPs (Crypto Asset Service Providers), not individuals, and would come into effect earliest in 2027 if approved by Parliament and Council unaltered today. Hint: it won't

Unfortunate that @BTC Sessions and @NICO⚡️ fell for the misinformation around the EU and anonymous transactions. Yes, the EU sucks in this regard, but spreading nonsense doesn't help in any way. Your listeners deserve better

That, and it's not even a bill yet, it's a proposal for a new regulation that won't go into effect for another 3 years after approval by the Council. To be clear, it's far from approval and these things are rarely approved unaltered. Also, this regulation doesn't even apply to individuals, but is aimed towards financial service companies. But apparently the Sessions new motto is: "trust, don't verify" 🤔
