Have you guys actually checked the annual report notes that discuss these figures? There are time-based and performance-based vesting conditions associated with the options, meaning he wont just get (all of) them. Also, the excercise price associated with the options is $ 14,43 and the current share price is around $ 5. So if you want to, you can do some sweet BS math on what the options would be worth IF they did vest. I like a little drama as much as the next guy, but I don't think mr. Mallers will earn anywhere close to $ 140 million from XXI options.
The excercise price has nothing to do with the market cap. The option agreement was signed on 08-12-2025 when the share price was still around $ 14. So an exercise price of $ 14,43 does not seem farcical at all to me.
I have no clue. Try Googling 'Black Scholes options calculator including vesting assumptions', input what you believe to be reasonable and see what happens. Or wait until next weeks podcast, he'll probably mention something about it 🤩
