Free and open source software is the closest thing we have to digital commonwealth. It's code that belongs to everyone and no one, sustained by people who give a damn.
Every time someone runs Linux on their laptop, self hosts their agent or LLM models, runs their own Bitcoin node, or builds new applications on Nostr instead of another walled garden, they're casting a vote for a world where the tools don't own you.
