Its getting worst and worst. Only private by default blockchains can save us.
"We've noticed you like privacy. I'm sorry that is against our company policies. Could you install this camera, connected to our servers, in your house so we can make sure you aren't a terrorist pedophile?"
I do use Vexl and Peach, but when you live off bitcoin that then opens a whole new conundrum of compliance issues. First, I usually need to exchange large amounts, which are hard to find offers for. Second, and most importantly, when your entire income comes from random people's bank accounts, the bank will close my account, which is really something that I don't want to deal with. I can deal with exchanges closing my accounts, but having my bank account closed is really a whole nother level of a fucked up nightmare.
Why don't you collateralize a loan with Bitcoin? I obviously know that means KYC but it fixes your access to large amounts of dollars without actually selling your Bitcoin.

My local German bank reported „suspicious“ transactions after several trades on bisq. They never talked to me about the transactions instead they went straight to law enforcement. The system is fucked up.
They care less. Open up, do your kyc. Start using it for your rent for example. And by card do some random stuff with it. Then add bisq and robosats. Start using slowly around 500€. Expand to 900€ but stay under 1000€ Sometimes (4 times in 5 years) they ask why you are receiving / sending money to xyz person. The list is long enough to chose from. That’s it. Never had issues. If they close you, no big deal. But features like revtag to revtag 24/7/365 is a plus. Sending from own Revolut to your local bank is absolutely no issue because both are run under your name

This definitely requires careful consideration. I got one bank account frozen for “many” ins and outs ant took me a while to get it back. Feels like shit. I would say totally aseptic partitions: 1. Different accounts inside of your usual bank: one account for the card, another for receiving and others to talk with other banks you don’t care much about (Revolut or similar, more than one) 2. Try to use the gift cards when possible. 3. Try to build a community of trust people so you can swap for cash and use more cash. 4. Also close nocoiners are useful and gives a bit resilience (“you pay (me) the rent, I’ll pay (you) the food and gas”) 5… anybody say something else…

What exchange ? Otherwise I suspect you just work for the IRS.
You got this. After opening and ordering the free Visa card ( you want to be a good customer) change some recurring fiat contracts to Revolut. Not too many, just to make them see you as a good customer. After that start the p2p journey. Imo the best solution is Revolut as a proxy to legacy world
Dear shitheads at bank, Wouldn't I have washed the entire thing if this deposit was a crime? Do you check bill history on cash deposits and flag accounts of people who turn in bills with traces of drugs on them? Yours truly, Can't believe how fucking stupid you all are.

if your bank closes your account for receiving money you should close that bank account, if all banks do the same in your area look to open an account in another área, there are a lot of different options around the world, look on Paraguay, Panamá, el salvador, ...
Can confirm: German police will freeze bank accounts if they have questions about bisq trades. Two of my trades were flagged as linked to computer fraud, and I was required to provide a written witness statement. Interestingly, when I contacted my bank first, they explained the investigation and then re-enabled my account. Lesson learned: always keep multiple bank accounts/cards.

Sure, thank you!
Some of our European and Asian contributors use Revolut too, it's great. You can get a phone number from a neighboring country to obfuscate further. Their main HQ is seemingly Lithuanian (more liberal), but they can force you into shutting and opening a local branch in, for example, France. French and UK Revolut are different, I think. A few of us also work/live with restricted accounts coz we refused to update KYC 👀 JFYI

What happens to your coins in this case? Do they send them back to you? Or do they keep it, while freezing your account and not giving you cash?

there not stupid it's a targeted attack
we did some zap tests on this note… your profile only specifies a nip05 nostr address, but not a lightning address, so we tried to zap your nip05 address.... we made six attempts to⚡zap this note, at 1x4b5d0cf321aaa441@ln.tips, over a period of 3 minutes. in each case, we found that your lightning address service or server did not respond correctly. if you wanted to fix this... you could try getting a free rizful lightning address -- ... if u get it set up, pls reply here so we can do this ⚡zap test again.

I mean to coins you sent to this “platform” before receiving the email. If I understand correctly, you wanted to off-ramp some BTC, so sent some to this unnamed platform that sent you this email, upon receiving the coins (I assume). My question is about what happens next? I you do not wish to answer their details request or if they don’t like the answer. Do they send back the “tainted” coins? Or keep them (while not sending you any cash)?
Hmm sounds awful. I’ll wait till she posts it on the free and open internet.

Revolut has gotten worse. High fees and they blocked their app on android custom rom! This makes revolute totally useless! They force you to use a spying Google Android! Stay away from Revolut!

You can have a leasing or mortgage. You can split the payments. You can put cash on your bank account. You can withdraw cash from your ATM. If you don’t have an account than it is different story.
This is the major issue with off-ramps and the solution (in my opinion) is to NOT need banks. Off-ramp solutions that allow you to pay directly for your everyday needs (no-KYC of course) is the way forward.
I genuinely hate posts like this. If you're going to make a post saying you were banned, then name and shame else it's just noise.
you should name the exchange or this looks fake post i have heard of SATS block in Salvador official wallet which are coinjoined.
