I was so confused, I didn't notice anyone else getting swarmed with bots until an hour later so I thought someone was trying to mess with just me lol. Then noticed same thing happened to a few other people. 50+ new accounts, used to leave one scrambled text reply each. Still confused what the point of it was

Depends on your client. For some it's a non-issue. For some it's a skirmish. For others it's an all out warzone.
