I’m working on a guide that teaches you how to safely split your XBT from BTC coins. It’s currently in the proofreading stage, and I’ll probably release it in a couple of days.
In the meantime, you better start syncing your Knots 29.4.2 node. It can be a pruned node (40 GB of free disk space), but you’ll still need one.

This is confusing me as I always remember XBT being the ticker used by Kraken
Exactly what I need, too. I spun up an xbt node, synced and setup a lightning fork for Blake2b, but I'm not seeing my coin.
It has to be spent into a tx with xbt coinbases right? Otherwise it is valid on bath chains
Looking forward to the guide. All the vidz I've watched so far are not clear enough. Still too many questions. I'm doubtful a pruned node can view old prefork BTC transactions though, as the latest knots node is pruned from 8 August.
Forget about Kraken
You need two nodes, but sparrow lets you use a public one. You need a pruned Knots node only for your Shrike wallet.
