one thing my parents did that i’ll definitely be doing with my kids is to instill “you can do anything you put your mind to” from a young age.

Exactly! That's the speech I gave to the kids at their graduation this year!
The key is to just start doing something, fail, do it again, fail again, and keep going until you get better at it.
That's what I'm trying to do with my German podcast about freedom and responsibility as well!
We should preach this more often to our loved ones and ourselves. We must learn to embrace failure and learn from it.

After making wine as a hobby for 6yrs now, my first wine was good! My second wine sucked, third was smoke tainted, my fourth was ok, my fifth is really fucking good! I’m aiming for beautiful in 2025. If I fail I’ll do again next year.
