Why are you spreading misinformation? It’s true that Chat Control 1.0 was passed and it’s bad, but you should read up on it before writing about something you clearly don’t understand. What you are referring to is Chat Control 2.0, but that one has NOT passed (though it wouldn’t surprise me if it does at some point). Chat Control 1.0 is entirely voluntary. It allows (but does not force!) tech companies to scan for illegal material on their platforms. The EU does not have direct access to your inbox. The law does not give police or politicians some kind of master key to read emails and text messages at will.

Chat Control 2.0 is the real problem to worry about. I imagine all encrypted messaging apps will be removed from the iOS App Store and Google Play Store unless they impose some kind of client-side scanning. Luckily, sideloading is much easier on Android.
