The problem lies in this:
It's was the younger kids of the 90s, like myself, that grew up during that pen and paper to computer transition.
Today's kids,(the majority of them)can't even be bothered to learn phone numbers, home addresses, street names, etc. They have zero interest in the continuation of that transition happening today from basically being completely brain dead. They grew up on brain rot with all of the convenience us 90s kids had to figure out to even use. For the first time in history, kids arnt as smart as their parents.
The future of nostr, lies in these low IQ kids hands, who can't be bothered to even learn street names because Google points the way and tells them when they are their.
Good luck getting them to learn nostr, even with the best UI and UX.

i always said the 90s babies had the best of both worlds, they grew up with no cellphones, shitty dial up internet that your sister would yell at you to stop connecting cause she was on the landline. You came home when the street lights came on, kids frequently would leave their house after school and not return until 8 or 9 pm. They grew with the internet and having the taste of the before gave them a unique perspective of the evolution of the technology.

110% my guy. 🫂💜
I only let my 5yr old use a computer. And he has to ask if he can be on it. Sometimes I just say no(kinda like if I was on the phone back in the day)
🤷🤣💜🫂
I want him to have that same childhood as I did.
It's up to us, to bring it back.
Plus studies show all the screens ain't good for kids anyways... all the more reason to give em a bike and say have fun imo.
sounds like your kids are lucky to have a dad so aware of all this bs nowadays.
i dont have any kids of my own, but i do have two young nephews.
one yesterday asked me why i like bitcoin. they know they have some for when they get older, i explained how money sucks now, or at least tried to, in a way he understood. i used some lunch time snack trading analogy. and i think he got it.
i told him, everyone has a crazy uncle, and im your only uncle, so thats me.
Thats a good analogy for kids
Thanks for sharing.
What's those stupid dumpling things everyone was freaking out about last year?
good Dad 🍩
I do think that is way too early. As a parent you want to contain the frustration of your children to not getting everything. Embrace them with all their sorrows.

I haven't given up on the new generation because our generation are the parents. Talk to your kids, put away your phone. Do analog things and they will turn out better then we did. Hard times create strong people and we are in hard times.
Classic "my generation is better than your generation" take.
Ultimately it is up to the parents, not the state, to manage their kids' social media, and Nostr empowers the parents to tell the state to pound sand.
Make up w/e you'd like. That's not what I said at all.
America has a technology and parenting problem, yes. I agree.
Have a great day!
I didn't like grunge at all.
