The UK's "Australia plus" under-16 social media ban requires age verifying everyone, not just kids, and the government is already eyeing VPN restrictions and mandatory digital ID. You don't have to live inside that machine. Nostr gives you an identity no one issued and no one can revoke. Bitcoin gives you money no one can freeze. A cheap VPS lets you host your own corner of the web. NostrVPN and FIPS move your packets across a mesh with no company in the middle. Each tool breaks a different choke point. that's because Aussies are pissweak. I've spent a fair bit of time there, and they all bitch and moan about everything but never have the balls to stand up to authority. got stuck there during covid. i havr nevrr seen a nation so willingly bend over and take it in the ass. It was quite frightening to watch. I expected a country founded by criminals would be the first to revolt.

This is the last ditch effort from a "leadership" who is being forced out. They have to fulfill whatever promises they made for their golden handshakes. It seems all other governments are seeking the same thing but I am praying they are smart enough to realise that our government collecting it effects their citizens' too, and they are too inept to handle it safely. The UK people NEED other governments to step in to protect their own citizens desperately, by proxy protecting them too. This is truly that moment in the movie
