I think he got the memo

Wow. I always enjoy his talks, but that may have been my favorite yet. I was gonna watch a minute or two but couldn't turn it off.
Very lucid and measured.
I'm a knothead myself. Still waiting for someone to come along and talk me out of it.
Bitcoin Core v30 is Kathleen Kennedy’s “ The Last Jedi” episode IX.
Running knots on your own node is the best way to push back. If you are not comfortable doing that, just don't upgrade to v30
Agree. But now we‘re down to 4,000 knots nodes and Luke Dashjr that the survival of Bitcoin hinges on? That‘s a very thin security blanked given what’s at stake. Bitcoin is the only chance we got. And all „they“ have to do is to get to 4,000 people and game over? How do we fix that?
🙏🏻🫡
Or revealed an important vulnerability to fix.
Chill man, run knots than you will be save from the emdiate backlash after v30 goes online. The hope is that most nodes will just not update including the big mining pools.
Trust into bitcoins immune system kicking in. Bitcoin will survive and get stronger as always, just act based on your beliefs.
Recycled content? Thanks Dennis!
At least h/t TWIB for the idea. Alan would be ashamed btw
That was a great conversation. One of those where Pete didn't really get it, but Saylor got his point across to anyone who was really listening.
That podcast episode was highly underrated. I always recommend it to Bitcoiners.
Agree or disagree, Saylor makes a very strong case for careful conservatism, especially on Layer 1.

Bitcoin should do one thing, and do it well.

Say no to protocol inflation.
Keep #Bitcoin to the essentials.

Less is More. I prefer lean engineering, not bloat. Just because we have all this extra, doesn't mean we *have* to use it.
Good Take.
