I'd also recommend against that minimal of a Tor setup, at least until we know the full implications of this new approach. Mad respect for Vitor & Amethyst but he should've discussed this in advance, and ultimately, should have given us the choice whether we wanted to use this updated relay scheme.

Fair enough, the main benefit of Tor is to protect your IP from relays so the VPN helps!

I'm not sure, I don't use the wine filter relay. I do use the main relay, which doesn't expire once you have payed initially. Try without it for a while and see if there is a difference.
