Personally I'd recommend using a trezor for cold storage for now until foundation comes out with their XMR updates, or if you're comfortable with DIY then explore monero Signer. Cake Wallet, or Stack Wallet for hot. Explore types of businesses you'd like. Reach out to the community, and ask around, learn more about the currency, and ecosystem.
