AMAZON TURNED YOUR DOORBELL INTO A POLICE SURVEILLANCE WEAPON Amazon-owned Ring just quietly partnered with Flock - a license plate tracking system already used by police and ICE - meaning footage from your front door can now feed into nationwide surveillance networks. Did anyone actually agree to this?

Yes. It's in the End User License Agreement. Why anyone would trust a multi-national corporation is beyond me.
I have a friend with one. Chimes his damn phone every 5 seconds. Refuse to go to his house after seeing it on the door. That creepy being watched feeling shouldn’t be ignored.
I really wonder if at least 10% people here are surprised by this. We got so accustomed to this level of blatant violation of privacy.

You can turn off the notifications, but the footage is on THEIR servers. you really believe they aren't just doing it as a matter of fact? There's absolutely nothing stopping them from doing as they wish with the data on their servers.
same folks that bought a google nest thermostat and an amazon alexa and then act surprised they’re being spied on do dumb things win dumb prices

I’m fine with it So you want the country to be taken over by the gangs… got it
This is unethical by Amazon. It shows what companies will do to turn a profit and when they are coerced by governments.

Then they could just go seize the pentagon cameras when the plane hit, that would be too easy.
