Is bitcoin money? No. Nothing is priced in Bitcoin. It is at most a clearance system. Should money have rules? That is a too broad of a question. All economic systems are governed by the rules of economics. Government create rules. Some good. Some bad. Or money can end up becoming something else? Gold can become jewelry.... Should bitcoin have rules that enforce it to be permissionless money? Only if you want it to be freedom money. But for that you have Monero. Or bitcoin is software that could become anything? It's a Blockchain. By definition. So it can't be anything.
worse than that, they are JPM/Consensys/Citrea attack dogs. and i'm sure that musk is involved in this racket as well, after dorsey cultivated the bitcointwitter cult they continue to use it to bend the story to their purposes.
Bitcoin's code is its DNA; its rules are its genetic instructions. Alter the genome and you've created a new organism of retarded proportions.
Permissionless with a transparent blockchain where all your transactions can be seen and they can know exactly how much is in which wallet and where miners can be bought/coerced to block transactions involving any wallets the authorities want blocked? Seriously? Forks do happen. As trad-fi gets more and more involved the rules of banksters and government control freaks take over. It has already begun. And most bitcoin-bros cheered.
