Thank you Big Bitcoin for forcing all of the actually principled people into a corner, where will be forced to work with each other to come up with a coin that will ACTUALLY resonate with people. Nobody actually spends bitcoin, so it has no value. A coin that people spend will be the ACTUALLY valuable one, and that takes people not positions of power and privilege

Please hang around! Before BIP-110, I think we actually had something like consensus in the community that Core was on a bad path.
Since then the partisanship has gotten so strong that it's hard to find that common ground, but it's definitely there, as are many of the shared values.
The failure of 110 does not mean that everyone loves Core (or Saylor, or paper bitcoin, or spam). I think it just means that 110 was not the solution.
