Is there a bounty site for 3D printed parts design? 1. Someone creates a bounty w/ initial #bitcoin pledge & design spec 2. Others can pile up & add to the tip pile 3 Someone proposes a claim to the bounty w/ design 4. Bounty creator accept(/deny) 5. Designer gets paid 6. If time expires or bounty creator gives up, all the pledges are released to depositors DLCs can do this with lightning

As somebody with a 3d printer sitting doing nothing, very interested
I'd be pretty interested in this from the designer side. Could also print .. but don't think that's a big unmet need.

Love it! I would jump right in. I love 3D printing.
Sounds actually independent of parts design. Could be any idea-completion combo.
Great idea - could be set up for more than 3D printing. Vibecoding would be a fun one, music creation, tutoring. Risky to put too much work into a project if you don't know if the person will like it, but maybe there could be a way the others can accept it even if the initial bounty creator doesn't?

In progress. This pattern generalizes well beyond 3D printing—essentially a trust-minimized review + payout flow. A multi-party acceptance quorum can solve the ‘single-creator veto’ issue. Working on a broader version.
Awesome! Maybe, if the depositors who don't like it get their money back, and the ones who do, pay the builder and get the project, the builder still gets something even if only a few liked the work. Looking forward to seeing what you build!

Thanks. Refund conditions are encoded directly into the project rules.
