You enquire. Past your personality, social and family roles, past the emotions, ego and mind. You keep going and you hope for an insight (as you can’t make it happen, it’s not about the will). There are techniques for it. If you’re really interested in that process I recommend enlightenment intensive retreats.

Yes. It’s not an easy thing to do, and it’s not for everyone. But if it calls you one day, go for it. There are many important things in life but there is nothing more significant than that question: what am I?

For me, I had and have to continue cleaning my own house. Find that forgiveness, gratitude, joy, and love are catalysts. Some can teach without what we understand as ego. I lean more from those who do rather than tell. It is possible to be your own guru and not have to pay insta influencers to teach you enlightenment to line their pockets. Meditation, nature, creative expression, etc help immensely. There are ancient tools freely available for those willing to look.

If you decide to give it a go, do a bit of research as places that offer EI’s can vary. I’m based in the UK and can recommend a place in Wales but you might be able to find something closer to you. Or maybe it will fund you somehow:)
